Organic Shampoo - Making Your Hair Green and Beautiful

Organic shampoo is a great way to obtain beautiful and resilient hair. Your hair is a natural asset when it comes to beauty. Great looking hair boosts your attractiveness and overall self-esteem. We wash, straighten, add volume and shine our hair on a daily basis as a regular morning (or night routine). Our scalps have very sensitive skin and can absorb a lot of chemicals through the hair follicles and pores. It is important to take care of our hair with natural products because our hair is so sensitive to chemicals. Choosing green hair care is the right thing to do so that your hair will always contain that natural shine and luster. You must be aware of natural products when shopping so that you can have the best hair possible.

Shampoo is used on a daily basis and is the most used hair product. Most traditional shampoos that you buy from the store contain water and some sort of detergent. Don't be fooled by product labels that state that they are organic and really are only made of 1% or less of plant extracts and minuscule amounts of natural product. Many times, a small amount of organic aloe vera is added to a shampoo and is then labeled organic.

Remember, the most important quality of shampoo is the bulk of the shampoo and the quality of the cleanser within the hair care product. In order for it to be organic, both the cleanser (detergent) and the emollients have to be from a plant based origin and created without the use of toxic chemicals.

Using herbs and botanical ingredients is a terrific way to increase strength in our hair and nurture our most important assets so that it's healthy and strong. Many mainstream shampoos claim to be of natural products and plants but only contain a small amount of organic product. The rest of the product contains harsh detergents and preservatives that damage your hair. Many shampoos also contain petroleum-based silicone.

One important factor to look for when shopping for organic hair care is to review the quality of the detergent. Detergent is the foamy part of shampoo that dissolves oil and grime from your hair. Did you know that detergent actually counteracts against your scalp's natural tendency to secrete oil? This makes the process even easier for chemicals to enter your scalp. The main harmful ingredient in shampoo is sodium lauryl sulfate. Many shampoos on the market contain this or a derivative of this detergent in most shampoos. Sodium lauryl sulfate is a chemical that is also used to clean dirty engines. Are you sure you want this on your hair? I will talk more about the harmful chemicals in shampoo and how you can buy your own organic shampoo.
